Scarlet's Story

In 2018, TTF partnered with the Mazatlan, Mexico location of Back2Back Ministries, an international Christian organization dedicated to being a voice for orphaned and vulnerable children. It was then we first met Scarlet, a baby girl living with West syndrome and experiencing up to 100 seizures per day. Her mother, unable to meet the extensive, ongoing needs of her daughter, had made the ultimate sacrifice and placed her up for adoption. At the time, it was thought she wouldn’t live more than a few months.

Three years later, Scarlet has defied the odds stacked against her and is thriving, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Back2Back team who would not give up on her and to an American couple who stepped up when introduced to a child in need of a family.
