At Sunday’s season opener between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, thousands will fill MetLife Stadium alongside a very special guest, 17-year-old Tyler Wilt. Tyler’s dream is to meet Jets quarterback Tim Tebow, and on Sunday his dream will come true.

An up-and-coming baseball and football star at Washington High School in West Virginia, Tyler’s sports career was looking very bright, until that was suddenly put on hold in May, 2012, when he started noticing breathing problems during his football training. Following a chest x-ray at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, doctors noticed a tumor in Tyler’s chest, displacing his left lung. In August, Tyler underwent a sternotomy to remove the tumor. Currently, he is under observation to determine the need for future chemotherapy.

Through the Tim Tebow Foundation’s W15H program, in partnership with Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, Tyler will enjoy an unforgettable weekend, including a special afternoon with Tebow during Sunday’s pre-game warm-ups, and immediately following the game.

Following his special trip, Tyler will return to West Virginia with a W15H gift package that includes exclusive W15H luggage, a Nike duffle bag, gift cards for both Nike and Jockey, Tim Tebow’s book, Through My Eyes, a Florida Gators 2008 National Championship book, a personalized bible and more.

While there may be uncertainties for Tyler’s future in sports, the W15H experience will offer inspiration and faith in his fight against cancer.
