Dalton Brown lived a typical life as a teenager until he was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in early 2020. He went through chemotherapy for under a year and is now on the maintenance face of his treatment. At one point, he had stroke-like symptoms and was paralyzed on his left side from the side effects of chemo. Despite the challenges, Dalton and his parents held onto their faith in God, and today, he continues with treatment without the side effects of stroke. Dalton’s journey has served as an example of God’s continuous grace and healing.
Shortly after one of his treatments, TTF’s W15H ministry got connected to Dalton. In November 2021, the Tim Tebow Foundation granted Dalton a W15H experience with Tim!
The special weekend kicked off with a shopping spree at Dick’s Sporting Goods, followed by a private dinner with Tim. Dalton and Tim had a genuine conversation around the table at dinner, talking about their faith in God, Dalton’s diagnosis, and his courage to fight through it.
“It means a lot to get to personally meet someone who has worked hard to reach his goals, gives back to the community, and would care about someone from a small town like me." – Dalton
On Saturday, Dalton attended the Tennessee vs. Georgia game. Before the game, Dalton got to go behind the scenes of SEC Nation, where he was introduced to the live crowd. He also got to meet Smokey the Mascot! After SEC Nation, Dalton attended the Vol walk and had the chance to say a quick “Hi” to Tennessee Coach Josh Heupel. It was a day full of exciting activities. Dalton’s parents, David and Amanda, were incredibly thankful to witness the joy that the weekend brought to their son.
“Dalton came out of the W15H experience being more grounded in his faith. We are nothing without God. Dalton remembers his time with Tim and the W15H team as encouraging and the best day of his life.” -Dalton’s mom, Amanda.
We were honored to host Dalton on his very special W15H weekend. And we are grateful for a chance to pray with him as he continues with treatment this year. Would you join us in praying for Dalton?
