The Tim Tebow Foundation and Her Song Jacksonville announced today that they have entered into a formal union in the global fight against human trafficking. The relationship between these two organizations started more than two years ago when the Tim Tebow Foundation began walking alongside Her Song in ministry and eventually financially supporting the care of survivors. This work alone has produced significant impact on the rescue and restoration of trafficking victims in Florida. By aligning under the leadership of the Tim Tebow Foundation Board of Directors, the two entities are poised to go further, faster, in this intense work, not just locally, but across the nation and abroad.

The Tim Tebow Foundation, a 10-year-old non-profit headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is a global ministry on mission to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. Each of the ministries of the Foundation seeks to meet the needs of those who are most vulnerable and to share with them the love of God, the true source of hope. Along with initiatives focused in the fields of Orphan Care + Prevention, Special Needs, and Children with Profound Medical Needs, the Foundation recently went public with a campaign to confront the Human Trafficking industry. Though the Foundation has been quietly working in this space for seven years, they are now overtly attacking this global atrocity by elevating their voice and their effort, and inviting others to do the same.

“I don’t know if there is an evil much darker than human trafficking. That’s why we’re not leaving the fight. We’re only getting deeper…only doing more,” shares Tim Tebow, Founder and Chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “They need us – all of us – and they are worth it.”

Her Song Jacksonville was founded in 2013 to address the gap in services in northeast Florida for safe housing and trauma-informed programs for sex trafficking survivors. Their mission to interrupt the cycle of human trafficking and lead the exploited to freedom through Survivor Care, Victim Outreach, and Education, has impacted more than 1,100 survivors and counting. With clinical expertise and a network of activation from educational institutions, to law enforcement to life counseling, Her Song is engaged in the most critical aspects of ending human trafficking.

“Our capacity to heal one another through loving and supportive relationships creates wellbeing that has never existed before inside the heart, mind, and body of a child that has been abused,” shares Rachel White, President of Her Song. “Safe homes and belonging are keys to wellbeing for trafficking survivors and under our care they are experiencing whole-person healing and finding their God-given purpose.”

These two institutions are now coming together as one to fortify the work being done at the local level to increase prevention awareness, rescue more victims, and serve more survivors in their journey to true freedom. Equally as important however, by serving together, the Tim Tebow Foundation and Her Song will be able to leverage the independent strengths of each organization to replicate the impact being made locally on a national and international scale. Working with several other strategic partners in this space, the combined efforts of the Tim Tebow Foundation and Her Song will multiply the assault on this darkest of evils. Now, more than ever before, both organizations will need the support of champions and investors to accomplish the work ahead.

“When you combine the strengths of Her Song, with the strengths of the Tim Tebow Foundation, it creates a new system of influences that will allow us to get to more lives, in more places, with more speed. In this case, one plus one equals exponentially more,” shares Steve Biondo, President of the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Her Song Jacksonville will continue to operate as the only holistic long-term residential care provider for survivors in the northeast Florida area, as well as continue their advancements in prevention and identification curriculum in schools, and outreach to victims. In addition to maintaining her role as President of Her Song, Rachel White will formally join the Tim Tebow Foundation staff as a Vice President, adding her licensed clinical expertise and field experience to the executive team.
