Tim Tebow Foundation Opens Tenth Timmy's Playroom to Serve Children Going Through Medical Challenges

The Tim Tebow Foundation is honored to announce the grand opening of the newest Timmy’s Playroom at AdventHealth Daytona Beach!
With a simple yet profound goal of bringing Faith, Hope and Love to pediatric patients and their families, these playrooms provide an atmosphere that allow children to take their minds off their medical conditions and treatments, and just be kids again. Each room is customized to fit the function and form of the respective hospital, but most include a football field floor, custom-built lockers for seating, table for arts and crafts, flat screen televisions, the latest multi-media and video game system, toys, interactive games, and activities. In every playroom, the words of Philippians 4:13 are prominently displayed - “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
“Both AdventHealth Daytona Beach and the Tim Tebow Foundation are committed to spreading Faith, Hope, and Love in tangible ways to those we serve,” said Steve Biondo, Tim Tebow Foundation President. “Our partnership is very well expressed in this 10thTimmy’s Playroom, where precious children going through medical challenges can be loved on physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is a special place of laughter, joy, and hope. We are grateful to serve with the team at AdventHealth in creating a space where children can heal in a very unique way.”
Conveniently located on the 4thfloor of the hospital, a floor specifically designed for women and children’s services, the playroom will be open to patients, families, and visitors alike. With a system of nearly 50 hospitals in almost a dozen states, the Daytona Beach location of AdventHealth is the first to open a Timmy’s Playroom.

You couldn’t ask for a better pairing of two organizations driven by perfectly aligned missions. We know that to kids, a hospital can be a scary or intimidating place, but with all of the interactive games and activities in this playroom, we hope this will be a place filled with laughter and where children can feel better.”
The AdventHealth location marks the 10thplayroom in existence, joining the nine others across the United States (additional cities within Florida, as well as Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas), and abroad (Davao City, the Philippines).
