2021 Ministry Updates: Anti-Human Trafficking

Alongside both domestic and international partners, significant advancements were made in our fight against human trafficking in 2021. Our three-step approach of building stronger families, rescuing victims, and providing support systems for survivors, made an impact on the lives of many around the globe. We also linked arms with several new partners last year and stepped foot into the world of online child sexual exploitation, where many of you joined us in the fight.

DOMESTICALLY: HOW YOUR GENEROSITY WAS PUT TO WORK HERE IN THE UNITED STATES IN 2021...

-Her Song announced a national expansion plan in Ohio and Tennessee.

-Her Song served 50 survivors in December alone with care coordination and resources, and served a total of 340 survivors in 2021.

-Her Song trained 2,011 professionals and community members on how to prevent, spot, and respond to human trafficking.

-TTF joined forces with an inter-agency task force in Tennessee dedicated to fighting child sexual abuse material and human trafficking. This task force is made up of highly skilled investigators, technology, and the necessary relationships to rescue child victims, hunt those perpetrating this evil, and pursue justice.

INTERNATIONALLY: HOW YOUR GENEROSITY WAS PUT TO WORK AROUND THE WORLD IN 2021...

- The Tebow Okoa Philippi Campus was constructed in Uganda with a mission of providing holistic healing and housing to 35 women (and their children) who have been trafficked and battered.

- TTF worked alongside four established experts within the anti-human trafficking space across seven countries to expand the rescue of victimized children, train competent trauma-informed care providers, and provide safe homes where survivors can begin their journey of healing.

- Funding was provided for improvements to the TTF-supported safe home in East Asia, home to over 30 women and girls.
