Through the blessing of our Awesome God and the help, commitment and passion of hundreds of churches, just like yours, Night to Shine has become a worldwide movement celebrating God’s love for people with special needs and the value of life.

The History

The Tim Tebow Foundation has a great passion for people with special needs and in 2014 we launched “Night to Shine.” The vision was simple… work with churches around the country to provide an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.

In 2015, the first Night to Shine was held in 44 churches representing 26 states and 3 countries. 15,000 volunteers came together to honor the 7,000 guests… and we knew that was a God-sized blessing! This past year, God did immeasurably more than we could have asked or imagined, as 537 churches, from 33 different denominations in 49 states and 16 countries came together with 150,000 volunteers to serve and celebrate 90,000 honored guests with special needs! We are so humbled to see what God is doing through this worldwide movement and it is truly amazing to see what happens when you tell 90,000 Kings and Queens of the prom that God LOVES them and has a special plan for their life!

The Tim Tebow Foundation will provide each selected host church for Night to Shine 2019 with the following materials to aid in the planning and implementation of this special worldwide event:

• Video and conference call discussions with Tim Tebow
• Special video messages from Tim Tebow to your congregation, volunteers and honored guests
• The opportunity to be a part of a worldwide like-minded effort in sharing God’s love

Financial Grants

As the sponsor of Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation remains committed to financially supporting as many host churches as possible and last year contributed more than $3.5 million to the worldwide movement of Night to Shine. As this event continues to grow, we have continued to pray about the stewardship and scalability of Night to Shine going forward. Due to the amazing number of churches God has blessed this event with and the ongoing efforts to fund the worldwide movement of Night to Shine, grants are awarded based on need, first and foremost, as well as the number of years a church has hosted, the size of the event and the financial amount requested.

We encourage each church to reach out to their local community for support of this unforgettable prom night and pray that each church, as they are able, will incorporate Night to Shine into the DNA of their church both in their annual financial planning and outreach programming.
