For 13-year-old Maryland resident Joey Norris, 2012 will start out in way he never expected. Through the Tim Tebow Foundation’s Wish 15 (W15H) program, in partnership with Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, Norris will ring in the New Year with his hero Tim Tebow.

Diagnosed at the age of 10 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Norris has been a huge fan of football. Over the past three years, the sport he loves has provided much needed comfort while at the hospital. It was this past October when Norris tweeted a picture of himself “Tebowing” while receiving treatment. Explained by him as “Tebowing while Chemoing,” it has been a very tough time for this courageous child. He continues to face his illness with determination, courage and humor.

Now in remission, Norris still has a long journey ahead, but for one day none of the medical uncertainties will matter. On Sunday, during the pregame warm-ups at the Denver Broncos final home game of the regular season, Tebow and Norris will meet for the first time – an unforgettable experience that will last a lifetime for a young boy facing a challenging road.

Norris will not leave Denver empty handed as he will be given a W15H gift package that includes: exclusive W15H travel luggage; Tebow’s book, Through My Eyes, a bible and so much more. Through his W15H experience, Norris will be able to celebrate the New Year with excitement and hope for the future. While his journey may seem uncertain, it will not deter this brave young soul from overcoming the challenges that lie ahead.
