Prayers for Alexis

Hello April 4th, 2017

One of our courageous W15H children, Alexis Lato, needs our prayers!

We first met Alexis in December of 2012 when we were blessed to host her official W15H experience with Tim Tebow at the Jets vs. Cardinals game in New York. We were able to treat her to a few days of fun excursions, however, it took no time at all to bond with the spunky, sweet and outgoing 11-year-old and she has been a beloved part of our W15H family ever since.

Now 16, Alexis continues her uphill battle with Neurofibromatosis, a life-long condition with no known cure, which causes tumors to grow in the nervous system. She does so with grace and strength despite the fact that the disease has taken away her mobility, her hearing and partial vision which she is fighting to get back.

Even with the struggles she faces, Alexis knows her hope is in the Lord and she draws upon His strength to continue the things she loves most such as watching her high school softball team play, playing sports games on her X-box, and hanging out with family and friends. Through it all, Alexis stays strong in her faith and is full of joy. She is a true example for us all!

Please join us in praying for Alexis as she has a surgery tomorrow, April 4, and for strength as she deals daily with the effects of Neurofibromatosis.

β€œHe gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31
