As a former Florida Gator and fellow Heisman winner, I’m very excited to see the launch of the Tim Tebow Foundation. Tim and I share a common set of convictions and also a platform to help speak up and make a difference for people that don’t have a voice. Tim has graduated from an amazing career as a college athlete but I believe his greatest legacy is still to be written as he continues to be an example of selfless service. I thank God for Tim Tebow and hope our Desire Street Ministries team can continue to partner with him for years to come in serving the least and the lost.

He has made it O.K. to volunteer and give back. He has given people beyond his peer group permission to speak up for what they believe in. Tim Tebow had a phenomenal college football career, winning the Heisman Trophy and leading the University of Florida to a National Championship. Football though, has never been the biggest part of his life. His leadership and Christian values set an example not just for his teammates, but for all young people. Tim has already demonstrated that he is a young man of uncommon ability, determination and, most of all, character. This foundation is just further evidence of his belief that what he does off the field is just as important as what he does on it. I look forward to watching Tim and this foundation to continue to show us all how we each can have a tremendously positive impact on others.
