W15H Makes Former Athlete’s Dream Come True 13 Jan

Jacksonville, FL (January 13, 2012) - For 20-year-old Zack McLeod, a former football player for Buckingham, Browne & Nichols, a day school in Cambridge, there is one dream that is just a day away from coming true, and that is meeting Tim Tebow.

It was in September of 2008, two days before his 17th birthday, that McLeod's life changed dramatically. Without any warning, he collapsed during a scrimmage game, falling unconsciously into the arms of his coach. Suffering swelling in his brain from a traumatic brain injury, McLeod was airlifted to Boston Medical Center. Given just a 5 percent chance of surviving, today McLeod truly instills the meaning of determination and hope. The effects of his injury and illness continues to play a key part in his life every day, but none of that stops him from moving forward and touching the lives of so many people.

On Saturday at Gillette Stadium, when the Denver Broncos take on the New England Patriots, there will be more than football capturing the hearts of fans. Through the Tim Tebow Foundation's Wish 15 (W15H) program, in partnership with Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, McLeod who dreamt of one day meeting and catching a pass from his favorite quarterback, Tim Tebow, will see it come true as he will be given the opportunity to meet Tebow during the pregame warm-ups.

McLeod will come away with many memories from his W15H experience, and will not go home empty handed as he will receive a W15H gift package that includes: exclusive W15H travel luggage, Tebow's book, Nike duffle bag, Jockey gift card, Bible and so much more.

The W15H program is one of the outreach efforts of the Tim Tebow Foundation in line with its mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. In partnership with Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, a Northeast Florida wish-granting organization, the program was created to fulfill the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses whose wish is to meet Tim Tebow.
